Our approach is designed to empower your body’s natural healing capabilities by harmonizing your systems and generating lasting health.
Health is the greatest possession.
Lao TzuMy journey into the world of medicine began with my own health challenge. At the age of twenty I experienced a burst fracture in my lower back due to poor bone density. Western doctors were puzzled why my bones were so weak since I was young, active, and fit. After an eight hour surgery installing a Kaneda Cage and rod to stabilize my lower back, my doctors advised me to supplement with calcium bicarbonate and do resistance exercises.
After a few years of begrudgingly going to the gym numerous times a week and taking my calcium, I retested my bone density with a DEXA Scan. Frustratedly, it had not improved much. This path wasn’t working! It was not sustainable or enough. I needed to try another treatment path.
I began studying internal martial arts which led me to Chinese medicine. This ancient, holistic system provided so many more treatment strategies for my poor bone density that would also generally improve my health. I began strengthening my Kidney Qi and Marrow with diet and Chinese herbal formulas. As I studied how to nourish marrow, I began reading more about nutritional concepts found within Functional medicine. Since Chris Kresser was a practitioner of both systems, I decided to train with him to explore evolutionary nutrition and functional labs.
It was 2017. I was trained in Chinese and functional medicine, and had develop not only a lot of knowledge on how to improve my health, but had found my calling, helping others! Most practitioners were supporting patients utilizing personalized medicine = creating care plans with lifestyle, dietary, herbal, and supplemental strategies, and if you were trained in functional medicine, ordering, interpreting, and creating additional treatment strategies based on functional labs results. Patients would invest so much time and energy getting a personalized care plan, but struggled to implement all the daily strategies. I wanted to become a behavior change expert, so I trained to become a Functional Health Coach.
I’m happy to report that I have not only gained and maintained my health, including stronger bones, but that I have found my passion and want to share it with as many people as I can.
Though I still provided personalized consultations, I’ve also created a free lifestyle program and an inexpensive small group program which will not only allow me to help more people, but reduce their costs, and increase their success! Join us!
I believe in the power of continuous learning and have dedicated myself to gaining expertise across a range of disciplines that inform my holistic approach. My education and training span over two decades, and each experience has enriched my practice, enabling me to offer the best possible care to my patients.

Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine share a common goal: to improve health by addressing the underlying causes of disease rather than just managing symptoms. Both disciplines emphasize personalized treatment plans and the importance of diet and lifestyle in achieving optimal health. However, each brings its unique strengths to the table:
By combining these two approaches, we can offer a level of care that is both deeply personalized and highly effective, often reducing the need for extensive testing while still providing targeted, individualized treatments.
