If you don’t eat it, supplement it!
If you haven’t been eating the foods that provide important key nutrients, or not very often, it is safe to assume that you are deficient in that nutrient and should supplement it to resolve that deficiency. The suggested duration is 3 months.

Nutritional deficiencies are often present even when you eat the food that provides them. This is due to poor gut function impairing digestive absorption.
It is important to move on from Phase 2: Replace Your Missing Nutrients, to Phase 3: Repair Your Digestive Tract, to begin working to improve your gut health.
After you have completed a Treatment Phase, if you continue to avoid the foods that provides their key nutrients, I would suggest you transition into a Maintenance Phase of supplementation.
If you begin to incorporate the associated food, you can reduce the need for supplementation.
